The Red Thread Fellowship programme celebrates it’s first cohort’s graduation!

In 2016, The Red Thread Partnership launched the RTP Fellowship, a leadership development programme for mid-career managers in or near Milton Keynes who aspire to move into senior leadership roles. Sponsored by the Open University, the programme uses our innovative Sustainable Leadership methodology, where leaders learn by helping local charities become more sustainable.

Our first cohort saw six individuals working together to support two local charities; MK Snap and MK Gallery. What they managed to achieve far exceeded our expectations. They devoted so much of their time, energy and commitment into developing themselves personally as leaders at the same time as supporting the charities to become more sustainable.

The Open University, the sponsors of our 2017 programme, recently provided the venue for our graduation event, where the six fellows deservedly celebrated their year long achievement. Also raising a glass of bubbly were representatives from the two charities, who spoke about their experience of working on the programme. Maureen McColl, Chief Executive of MK Snap said “working with the fellowship programme has provided a new dynamic to our organisation”.

Also in attendance were many of the 12 participants of our 2017/18 programme which has just been launched. The event allowed them get a taste of what they can expect on the programme which we are confident will be every bit of a success as last time.

We are very excited to announce that we are also launching the programme in Oxford later this year and our vision is to have a Fellowship programme running in every city by the year 2025.

If you are interested in participating in our next programme either as a fellow or as a charity, or supporting us as a Partner or Sponsor, please get in touch, we would love to hear from you. For more information visit our Fellowship Programme page.
